Tweetings for Twitter App Reviews

Frustrating

I was looking for something different other than Echofon and thought I found it with this app. Unfortunately I was wrong. The big thing that drew me to Echofon was syncning across all my iOS devices and my mac. This app claims to do the same, which it does to an extent. What is frustrating that if you leave the desktop app open then start using the app on your iPhone or iPad, the timeline will always jump right to the top not allowing you to read all the other tweets. The desktop app also does not stream, you have to set it to update, so when it does, you may find yourself actually missing multiple tweets in your timeline. I also cant get it to work correctly with GrowI. I think this could be a great app, but its back to Echofon for me.

Doesnt Work

I had high hopes for this twitter app. It is pretty solid on iOS, but is a disater on osx. The live streaming doesnt work and I find myself constantly pulling to refresh. There is zero customer support. I was the idiot who bought it for all three devices, wish I could have my money back. STAY AWAY for know until the issues are fixed.

Very frustrating

Always jumps to the top of my timeline when I switch accounts, even with "syncing" enabled. Makes it impossible to keep track of where you were.

DONT GET THIS APP

wont sign me in at all just says loading… for hours and closes unexpectedly a lot but it doesnt matter because i cant use this app beacuse it just loads. refund?

Used to think this was a 4- or 5-star app.

Ive been using this for most of 2011. I used to think it was a good app, but over the past 4 months the updating of the timeline/livestreaming has been a disaster. One of my accounts shows that I have DMs, but nothing appears within the tab. At other times, tabs dont update after I check new messages, and the scrolling keeps jumping after every few seconds back to several days old Tweets. The number of bugs are countless now. While it seemed decent enough when I first bought it, now I feel that my money was totally wasted on the POS app.

Good but a missing feature could make it great

I have been using this app on my MacBook Pro for a couple of days. I really like a lot of the features and design. It needs an autocomplete user name function when tweeting and it I would give it a four/five. It is one of the few Twitter apps I have used on my phone or Mac that doesnt have that feature. I hope you will consider adding this in one of your next updates!

Tweetmarker Support is Iffy

I bought this because it is listed as supporting Tweetmarker (a service to sync your place in your twitter stream between clients). It sort of works, which is probably worse than not working at all. If I stop reading tweets on Tweetbot on my iPhone and then open Tweetings, I get to the right tweet. Theres no visual clue that Im at the marked tweet, but I guess I can live with that. But if I then read some tweets and quit Tweetings it doesnt seem to sync the placemaker properly most of the time. Id say maybe 20% of the time it properly tells tweetmarker where I left off, but mostly I have to scroll around in Tweetbot to find where I left off. I may just have to bite the bullet and pay the $10 for Twitterific.

Unpolished

I was looking forward to the polished experience I get from Tweetings on the iPad. This really didnt do it for me. Ill keep an eye on it and look forward to better in the future but, for now, this is just no good.

One of the best Twitter clients for Mac

Ive been using all three versions of Tweetings for over a year now. The iPhone and iPad versions are so glitchy and slow that I eventually gave up and deleted them, but the OS X version is good. Not perfect, but one of the best options available (and Ive used EVERY Twitter client at this point, omg. Ill give the runner-up spot to YoruFukurou). It looks nice, its easy to use, its got all of the features I need as a power user, and, the most important thing, FILTERS of every kind! Cant live without those! So, the live streaming doesnt work at all, ever, and sometimes it does weird things like decide it cant authorize my account, but Im going to stick with Tweetings unless I discover some new problem I cant ignore. I dont think I will. :)

STILL waiting for the update it really needs

Well just got the new update, and its still typical tweetings! It crashes (already has crashed twice in 5 minutes) and its buggy, and it still doesnt have open link in background (what Ive been requesting ever since this app came out!). So guess Im back to waiting for tweetbot for mac when it comes out, because this still isnt worth it at all!

Just give up…

This app is awful. There are so many other notable Twitter clients that are way better than this. You change the UI, icon and so on of this app so many times for reasons I do not understand. Theres no consistency with the brand.

This really needs to be tested before being released

Since the last update, on my new Mac Mini it crashes at least once a day (often more), and this morning it caused the Mac to crash. I dont have these issues with other Twitter clients (free or paid). Im posting this here rather than dealing with the developer because i dont want to participate in his testing (thats not what I bought a Mac for). This isnt Windows: you dont release alpha code and expect the users to be your captive audience of beta testers, as Microsoft has done for the last 15 years. Test this stuff before you release it to the AppStore.

Crashes Consistently

Cant use it for more than a few minutes without crashing, though it can sometimes run for close to 10 minutes if Im not using it before crashing. I dont see the point of paying for something before finding out if it might work or not. Like one of those claw machines to get a stuffed animal - maybe youll get a toy, maybe not, but either way your moneys gone.

Crash, crash, crash

Sexy, cool interface. Crash, crash, crash, crash, crash. Not worth the price.

Crashing Continues

This will be a nice little app, if they can stop the constant crashing. Only getting about two minutes of use before it crashes. Hope they can get it fixed. Im anxious to try it out and see what it can do.

A very nice Twitter client for the Mac

This is a very solid Twitter client. I am currently using Tweetings on my iPhone 5 and my iPad Mini so it only made sense to use it on my MacBook Air as well. The UI is clean, simple and it focusses on the your content. The buttons and overall navigation are laid out rather well. I have yet to experience any crashes as others have reported. Its also a very smooth transition going between devices if you have the iOS versions.

chit

initial launch, crashed.. using latest osx. probably a compatibility problem. looked good from the screen shots. think ill move on.

App dont work

I used the app and liked very much, the only problem so far was that he did not update the tweets automatically, however this week the app stop loading all the pages are just loading and not appear any tweet, hope answer

A very useful Twitter client that works (updated) does not work anymore

This Twitter app for Mac OS X gets the job done with an ample amount of options. I can schedule tweets to post at a different time. I can save tweets to read later. I can post to Facebook, selectively. I can easily view others profile with a click. I havent had any problems or issues with any of the functions. The apps syncs with the other Tweetings apps (iOS and KitKat). Everything works. The design isn’t going to blow you away. For the minimalist type, Tweetings style is probably idea. Basically, this is an app for twitter users who wants a lot of power functions. There are things I hope is added later on, however. I’d love to see columns (like Tweetings HD for iPad has) in the next update. I’d also like to see conservations easier to view. In this app you have to click on the very small talk bubbles. It is very hard to click and locate. Clicking the tweet and having it go into some kind of details mode would be easily. Other than that as of now Tweetings is still a go-to app for the Mac OS X. Hands down Tweetings is a 4.7 app. Now only if the iOS version was up to par. Update: the app has started crashing and laging a lot. Some time I can’t get it to start up because it crashes immediately. I haven’t changed anything on my MacBook Pro or done anything different. C’mon Tweetings get it together. Lowering score until issue is addressed. Update: This app will not open at all now. It immediately closes when I attempt to open.

the app keeps crashing

i don’t know what’s wrong with this app…. i purchased the app for $2.99 to use it on my macbook but lately the app keeps crashing. i think it’s a waste of money even if ti was 3 dollars, unless a fix is made. i’ll keep following updates if this case is resolved.
