If you want something more than the offical app, drop the $3.
I bought it beacuse it allowed me to use my bitly API and username to track the links I post. Found out that twitter breaks that functionality, which at no fault to the developer, but why have it as an option?
Its a useable twitter client, but I need something that will make me want to use it on my mac. I love tweetbot on my iphone and ipad, I was hoping for a simular experince on the mac, but really, no mac client comes close to offering the desire to use it. I was tired of the prepriotry image hosting and link shortening in hootsuite… tweetdeck has massively failed. Developers take note of those failings and develop something tight!
This client will give you a little more than what the "official" twitter client offers, namely support of 3rd party image hosting. Which is important to me, an artist who post images of his work. Ive found one image host that does not retain the right to use images with out credit or compensation.
Developers rarely offer demos anymore. Here it wasnt a major issue, but other clients are going for $5-10… a stiff "tax" to pay for trying something out and finding out you dont like it.
So if you dont have the concern of image hosting and link shortening, tweetings is a good choice and worth the $3
